8/4/2025
This week, Water Well #5 moves into a new stage of development. As a result, the City of Burton is asking residents to limit water usage between Monday, Aug. 4 and Friday, Aug. 8 as the City has been placed under Stage 4 of the Drought Contingency Plan as we seek to conserve water.
This means that only hand-held hoses can be used to water. No drip irrigation systems can be used to water flower beds, gardens and the like. The use of sprinkler or permanently installed automatic sprinkler systems are prohibited at all times.
Other prohibited activities include: The washing of motor vehicles (Auto, motorbike, boat, trailer, etc.); The filling or refilling or adding of water to swimming pools, wading pools, and Jacuzzi type pools; The operation of ornamental fountains; The watering of city parks; and, Power washing buildings, sidewalks, gutters, or other hard surfaces.
We will continue to communicate any other changes or information. Should it be necessary.
