Thank you for your conservation efforts this week. The Water Well Team accomplished their well production goals for the week. Stage 4 Drought Contingency Plan has been lifted until Monday morning. Please enjoy your outside water usage this weekend.
Drought Stage 4 in Place

This week, Water Well #5 moves into a new stage of development. As a result, the City of Burton is asking residents to limit water usage between Monday, Aug. 4 and Friday, Aug. 8 as the City has been placed under Stage 4 of the Drought Contingency Plan as we seek to conserve water.
Road Work Scheduled for Burton

City Hall has been notified that the County Road Crew will be in Burton to complete some much needed road repairs. Streets included in this round of repairs are Live Oak St., E. Cedar St., Brandie Lane, W. Washington St., and San Marcos St. They will also be digging out ditches on S. Main St. and, possibly, S. Railroad St. Work will begin the first week of August unless weather causes a delay.
