An election is scheduled to be held for the City of Burton in May of 2026. The Burton election season begins with a Notice of Deadline to File for a Place on the Ballot. The positions up for election are Councilmember Position #2 (currently held by Mrs. Tommie Gilmon), Councilmember Position #3 (currently held by Jeff Eckhardt) and Councilmember Positon #5 (currently held by Macey Tidwell). On the Election page of the City of Burton website, you can find the Required Qualifications to File for a Place on the Ballot.
