At this time, all residents, businesses, and the school district may resume normal water usage.
Thank you for your water conservation efforts. We fully know how much we have all had to adapt and change to accommodate the drilling and testing of Water Well #5. We are grateful and thankful for the progress made and look forward to the completion of this very important project for our town.
The next step for Water Well #5 is installing the electrical system, the control system, as well as the disinfection and chemical injection equipment. These things will make the new water well operational, make our water safe to drink, and connect the new water well to the existing water system. Over the next several months, look for the next group of construction personnel to be on site to complete this work.
Again, the city of Burton would like to thank our residence and business owners for all that you have done to assist us this weekend.
